Taylor Swift reveals who she will vote for in the US election, subtly mocking Trump's ally over "childless cat ladies" meme
After the US presidential debate, world-famous singer Taylor Swift publicly announced that she would vote for Kamala Harris in this year's election. According to the 34-year-old celebrity, the politician, unlike her opponent Donald Trump, is an honest and gifted leader.
The artist shared her thoughts on her official Instagram page. She noted that she was well acquainted with the plans for the development of the state of both candidates and wants to be frank about her choice.
The singer did not neglect the opportunity to subtly mock Donald Trump. The star posted a photo with a cat in response to a statement by his associate James David Vance. The latter, as a vice presidential candidate three years ago, made a sexist statement about women who had not given birth, calling them "childless cat ladies."
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos," the singer wrote.
In addition, Taylor Swift noted that she had carefully studied the campaigns of both candidates to find out what their goals are and what is really important for modern society. The celebrity emphasized that she has noticed the spread of disinformation by Donald Trump involving herself.
"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation," the artist said.
