Singer Kateryna Buzhynska, known for her hits "Ukraine is Us," "Flame of Love," and "I'll Give You Wings," said she condemns the choice of Ani Lorak, a traitor to Ukraine and a Putinist. Moreover, since the beginning of the Russian war in 2014, the Ukrainian woman has rejected everything Russian, which is why she also translated her hit song "Queen of Inspiration," which she sang with Stas Mikhailov.

She told Telegraf in an interview that she stopped communicating with her Russian colleagues 10 years ago. According to the artist, this is her "principled view of these terrible events," although at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, many wrote to her and apologized for their citizenship.

One can assume that among these people was not Ani Lorak, the singer who spent her childhood and youth in the Chernivtsi region, which Buzhynska considers her homeland. As honorary natives, they were once both awarded stars on the Walk of Fame in the regional center. Kateryna Buzhynska told us how she and the people of Chernivtsi feel about the traitorous putinist.

"Of course, I condemn Lorak, because she sold out for money. You have to have a conscience and dignity and not forget your homeland and your people. In Chernivtsi, on Teatralna Square, there is an Alley of Glory, where the "stars" of Sofia Rotaru, Ivo Bobul, me and other artists are placed. So, the "star" Ani Lorak was smashed to pieces by people because they are very outraged. I don't understand the position when they say that art is outside politics. At a time when children are being killed and Ukrainians are suffering, a public figure cannot stand silently by and not express his or her opinion about what is happening," the singer admitted.

In particular, her Russian-language hit "Queen of Inspiration," which she sang in a duet with Stas Mikhailov in 2009, has also lost its Russian trace. This year, the star Ukrainianized it and boasted that the song's sound had become much better.

"This song was written in 2009 by Ukrainian author Serhiy Bakumenko. It so happened that we sang it as a duet with a Russian artist. We haven't been in touch with him for a long time. I translated this song into Ukrainian, thanks to the poet Kateryna Kostiuk, and now I sang it together with Mykhailo Hrytskan. It was much better than the Russian version," she explained.

As a reminder, Ani Lorak plans to obtain Russian citizenship. It is known that she has already submitted the relevant documents. Rumor has it that the traitor was pushed to take this step by Philip Kirkorov.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Alla Pugacheva had a hard time with her colleague, pro-Kremlin singer Stas Mikhailov. Her post was a response to the Russian's statement that she and other emigrant artists "will crawl back to Russia and kiss its feet."
