Russian playwright and director Ivan Vyrypaev, who changed his citizenship to Polish, called Russia an anti-human machine. The artist has been living in Poland for several years and has openly stated his pro-Ukrainian position.

For his statements about the occupying army, Vyrypaev was sentenced in absentia to 8 years in prison. However, this did not stop the director. He shared his opinion about the war and the Kremlin government in a new interview with a Russian TV channel.

The playwright said that children in Donbas are suffering from the so-called "protection". And according to him, no one rejoices in deaths: neither Ukrainians nor Poles.

He noted that it is important to engage people in the topic of war so that they understand its causes and preconditions. Vyrypaev believes that Russians are simply fencing themselves off from one important fact. "The fact remains that the system that exists in Russia is a terrible anti-human, inhumane machine, led by a mafia gang," the artist believes.

Recently, the Basmanny Moscow Court sentenced the director in absentia to 8 years in prison for "fakes" about the Russian army. The artist was put on the international wanted list because of his stance against the so-called "SMO".

Last year, Vyrypaev announced that the money he received from ticket sales for theatrical performances he authored would be sent to help Ukraine. After that, Vyrypaev's performances were canceled in Russia en masse.
