Rapper Doja Cat in a FROLOV dress supported Ukraine at the festival in New York: together we are strong. Video

For the first time, American rapper Doja Cat has supported Ukraine in the war with Russia. She did so during her speech in front of thousands of people at the Global Citizen Festival 2024 in New York, USA.

In particular, the singer, known for her hits Paint the town red, Kiss me more, Woman and many others, wore a dress from the FROLOV brand by Ukrainian fashion designer Ivan Frolov, with whom many world stars work. The video of the speech was published on the SLAY MUSIC Telegram channel.

"Millions of men, women and children are suffering right now in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Congo and around the world. In times like these, it is important to remember that together we can bring change, love, light and hope to those who need it most. I have joined forces with Global Citizen to help people in conflict and crisis zones, and I know many of you have joined me in earning your tickets for tonight," the rapper said.

She also called for help to those who are now "fleeing violence." The celebrity emphasized that vulnerable people need constant help.

"But we can't stop now. Please continue to use your voice to help those fleeing violence get the food, shelter and education they need and really, really deserve. There is beauty and power in each of you who are watching this and who have chosen to be here today, and this is our time to put it to work for what matters most, and that is life," she said.

Global Citizen is an annual festival in America that aims to draw the world's attention to the global issues of war, poverty, inequality, climate change and lack of unity. In particular, it takes place simultaneously with the UN General Assembly.

Doja Cat performed at the festival in a dress by FROLOV. The outfit created an imitation of nudity due to the lining, on which metallic fringe with different colors was sewn. On the official website, this dress costs 212.1 thousand hryvnias (5.132 thousand dollars).

This is not the first time Doja Cat has chosen a Ukrainian brand for its looks. In 2020, FROLOV created an identical look for her, but the fringe itself was bronze in color.
