Pamela Anderson defied beauty with new photos without makeup: do you know what you really look like?
56-year-old actress and model Pamela Anderson has starred in a new photo shoot for CR Fashion Book. The star did not change her principles, posing in front of the photographer's lens without makeup.
The celebrity admitted that she did not want to make a "loud statement" by choosing naturalness and refusing to wear makeup. Instead, the actress did it for young girls and was pleased with how her actions were perceived by the public, she said in an interview for CR Fashion Book.
Anderson realized from a young age that it would take many years to recognize her true self, she says. Now Pamela has reached that same moment. In particular, she was delighted with the photo shoot, because by abandoning glamor, the photographer and model managed to create a real charm hidden in the "raw" pictures.
"It was like I fell in love with the camera. There was a love story there. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was love for myself. It could have been falling in love with the photographer [laughs]. There were moments when I felt very vulnerable, not shy, but open. This is what I like to do. It makes sense," the star said.
Despite her bold public appearances, Pamela admitted that she always feels vulnerable, but she doesn't dwell on these emotions. "When I was at Paris Fashion Week, people asked me about it," Anderson said, adding that she had doubts.
According to her, she didn't want to "dive into glamor and play that game." "I just want to flip the script, I want to challenge beauty," the actress says. The agent and her sons tried to convince the model, but this only motivated Anderson: "I'm going to do a fresh face, no makeup, I'm not going to pretend I'm not wearing makeup. And I just felt free."
Pamela said she did it for the girls. "I just think that the world of social media and fantasy, especially in fashion and movies, are places to escape, but these everyday things... I felt it was okay to just be," she explained.
The celebrity recalled how she was surrounded by "different kinds of beauty" when she was shooting for Playboy. Nowadays, Anderson notes, everyone is losing their uniqueness. "Being brave is contagious. And I felt that it resonated, even though I didn't intend to make a loud statement. And I'm glad it had a positive message," she added.
The actress spoke about her niece, who "takes a picture and a second later is already editing her photo." "Does she even know what she looks like in real? Does anyone know what they look like? And yes, I know that this is a kind of phase. This is where we are right now. And I think it's interesting in the fashion world not to dwell on it," explains Pamela. So the model is "happy to do her own thing" and believes that people with a large number of Instagram followers have superficial goals.
"As you get older, you stop chasing the big things and start appreciating the little things... Time alone, enough sleep, good nutrition, long walks, and time spent with loved ones. Simplicity becomes the ultimate goal..." Anderson wrote on social media.
