Olha Freimut's son wins a contest for young poets

Valerii, the 8-year-old son of Ukrainian TV presenter Olha Freimut, won a competition for young poets in London. The boy showed his literary talents by writing a short English-language acrostic poem called "Animals," where the first letters of each line form a full-fledged word.

The journalist shared the good news on her Instagram page. She noted that her son's work will now be published in the British Library's book of poetry.

"Poetry and victory. Valerii wrote a poem at school and won. Now "Animals" will be in a book of poetry in the British Library. I am used to offering children my standards and they have their own voice," the host wrote.

According to Olha Freimut, at first glance, her son's verlib may seem rather primitive. However, according to the celebrity, it is filled with a special calmness and magic that will not leave the reader without emotions.

The TV presenter published the text of the poem that brought Valerii the victory and the certificate of honor. In addition, the Ukrainian woman shared a rare photo of her offspring, whom she hardly ever shows online.
