Nazarii Yaremchuk would have turned 73: the daughter of the legendary singer showed a rare photo of her father in his youth

Nazarii Yaremchuk would have turned 73

Today, on November 30, the legendary Ukrainian singer Nazarii Yaremchuk would have turned 73 years old. Perhaps the pop singer would still be delighting listeners with his talented works, but his life was cut short on June 30, 1995, due to a complex cancer.

Mariia Yaremchuk, the celebrity's daughter, honored her father's memory by posting a rare photo of him in his youth on her Instagram page. The black-and-white photo shows a smiling artist posing for the camera in a stylish outfit of the time.

Nazarii Yaremchuk made an invaluable contribution to the development of national culture. His performance of "Chervona Ruta" will forever be etched in the memory of Ukrainians, each generation of whom is interested in the singer's personality. This is confirmed by the huge success of the movie "Yaremchuk: The Incomparable World of Beauty."

In its first three weeks at the domestic box office, the film grossed an impressive 9.9 million hryvnias, making it the highest-grossing documentary in Ukraine. In less than a month after the first screening, about 63 thousand viewers watched it.

The passing of the legendary performer was a severe blow to both fans of his work and his family and friends. Nazarii Yaremchuk's family said that the star was an intelligent, wise, and talented man. The singer was very fond of the stage, so his concerts rarely ended on time, as he "flew on wings." The star's enthusiasm and positive attitude helped to keep the hope alive that the disease would recede and he would continue to delight his audience.

Unfortunately, however, fate was different. On June 30, 1995, the pop artist's heart stopped beating. According to the singer's son Dmytro Yaremchuk, on the last day of his father's life, he was holding his hand. At that time, a silver cross was removed from the singer's neck, as it was necessary for hospital procedures, so the man put his own on his chest: "I didn't know it was necessary – it was some kind of emotional impulse."
