It has become known who advised Ani Lorak to change her citizenship and why she did it only two years after the great war. Exclusive

OBOZ.UA managed to find out the details of Lorak's change of citizenship

Ani Lorak, a native of Bukovyna and a traitorous singer who applied for Russian citizenship, may have done so at the suggestion of her longtime friend and ardent Putinist, Philipp Kirkorov. As OBOZ.UA has learned, it was the disgraced artist who advised her to change her passport as soon as possible in order not to lose the opportunity to earn money in Russia.

She did not submit the documents in February, as propagandists wrote, but more recently, when Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Anti-Corruption Project, proposed to the State Duma to deprive stars who do not have Russian citizenship and do not openly support the war of their earnings. This was told to OBOZ.UA by sources familiar with the situation.

"Kirkorov met with Karolina (Lorak's real name - ed.) in a Moscow restaurant, where he warned her that Mr. Borodin was initiating an appeal to the Kremlin on behalf of all the 'controversial' artists, and they would support this request by signing the law. Lorak now wants to save her ass and her ability to earn money," the sources told our editorial board.

The star needs to save not only her concert career but also her real estate, of which she has a lot. According to an insider, the Ukrainian has several apartments in Moscow and is also allegedly the owner of a mansion in Sochi and apartments abroad.

"Due to her lack of citizenship, she is now one of the first people to be punished by being cut off from the trough," the source told OBOZ.UA.

In addition, the insider explained that the artist did not submit any documents in February of this year, and the Russian media were "fed" this fake by the singer's press service, which intended to create the illusion that Lorak had decided on her position before Borodin's initiative.

In fact, according to our sources, the starting point in this matter was the news of March 13 that the head of the Federal Anti-Corruption Project demanded that concerts be banned, TV shows be banned, and royalties be deprived of anyone who did not unequivocally support the Kremlin in the genocide of Ukrainians.
