In Russia, a court issued an arrest in absentia for Jamala: the Ukrainian singer faces up to 10 years

A Russian court has arrested the famous Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin, Jamala, in absentia. The reason was the People's Artist of Ukraine's truthful posts about the inhumane war crimes of the Russian invaders, particularly in the Kyiv region - Bucha and Irpin, which were occupied at the beginning of the full-scale war.

The decision was officially confirmed by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office, as reported by propaganda media.

"A preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed on Susana Jamaladinova (the star's real name - ed.) in absentia. The criminal case will be sent to the Basmanny District Court of Moscow for consideration on the merits in the absence of the accused, who is on the international wanted list," the statement said.

The singer is charged under a criminal article on the "public dissemination of manifestly false information about the Russian Armed Forces under the guise of reliable reports, committed on the grounds of national hatred." Traditionally, the aggressor country cynically calls statements and publications about the occupiers' terrorist activities "fake news."

Moreover, the Russian agency refers to specific posts by Jamala, where she condemns Russia's aggression and the crimes of Russian soldiers in Bucha and Irpin, which, by the way, shocked the whole world with their inhumanity.

Thus, the reason for Jamala's arrest in Russia was her words: "While the world is talking and not acting, Russian executioners are acting. They rape 10-year-old girls, enjoy torturing civilians in basements and shooted everyone around them... the elderly, women, and children. Every city liberated from the occupiers is a huge mass grave. About 400 people died in Bucha alone."

According to propagandists, the star faces up to ten years in prison.
