To dry-clean your carpet you will need baking soda, salt, a brush and gloves to protect your skin. You will need 5 tablespoons of the products per small rug.

The baking soda and salt should be mixed, applied evenly to the carpet and rubbed into the pile with a brush. The product should be left overnight, and in the morning you should thoroughly vacuum.
