Called for the seizure of Ukraine and the murder of Ukrainians: SSU announces suspicion of actor Dmitry Pevtsov on three articles

SSU announces suspicion of actor Dmytro Pevtsov

Famous Russian actor and State Duma deputy Dmitry Pevtsov suspected guilty under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine based on the SSU evidence. Investigators managed to form an evidence base that confirms that the star of Banditsky Peterburg (Gangster Petersburg), Korabl (The Ship), etc. has been and continues to be engaged in information and subversive activities in favor of the Kremlin, war propaganda, and encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

The SSU press service reported this on its Telegram channel. The text reads, "Since the offender is in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against our country."

Thus, the examinations initiated by the Security Service confirmed that the actor is a member of the close circle of the senior military and political leadership of the aggressor country. He has repeatedly spoken in support of the occupiers during propaganda events with the participation of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

In addition, the Kremlin jester, as noted in the SSU report, regularly appeared on the air of the central TV channels of the Russian Federation, where he called for the seizure of state power and the entire territory of Ukraine. In an interview with Kremlin propagandists, Pevtsov spoke about how he personally voted to recognize the "independence" of the temporarily occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The defendant also justified the criminal actions of Russian troops and Russian occupation administrations in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.

Thus, SSU investigators announced a notice of suspicion in absentia under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • p. 3 of Art. 109 (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power);
  • p.3, Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
  • Article 436 (war propaganda).
