Billie Eilish made a video for the Russian band Tatu and angered Ukrainians
The famous American singer Billie Eilish outraged Ukrainians by filming a video for the song by the Russian band Tatu. The video shows the star in Berlin performing a few lines of All The Things She Said, the English-language version of I'm Crazy.
This video is now no longer available on the singer's page. A recording of the screen appeared on the Telegram channel of Ukrainian showgirl Monroe and in Russian publics.
In the video, where the music of a Russian band is heard, Billie Eilish is driving a car, and singing along. At the time, she was in Berlin, Germany, according to the geo-reference. Monroe's followers were outraged that an artist with an audience of millions was promoting Russian culture.
It is noteworthy that in 2022 the singer supported Ukraine in the war with Russia. She dedicated the song Your Power to Ukrainians as part of the Stand Up For Ukraine charity marathon, and also appealed to world leaders to help Ukraine.
Apparently, Ailish did not know who was performing the English-language song. A few months ago, Slovenia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, Raiven, got into a similar embarrassment. The star said that in the past she was a fan of Tatu, which is now silencing the war and financing Russia.
Ukrainians also have a problem with the Russian band. The participants of the National Selection for Eurovision, the band NAHABA, were accused of plagiarizing Tatu.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Billie Eilish raised and kissed the flag of Ukraine at the concert. It was given to her by Ukrainian singer Jerry Heil (Yana Shemayeva).
