A Russian aerial bomb hit 35 meters from the place where the Mustang ruffer slept: the warrior miraculously survived and told the details

Soldier Hryhoriy Kyrylenko miraculously survived the fall of an air bomb

Ukrainian roofer Hryhoriy Kyrylenko, also known by his pseudonym Mustang Wanted, has been serving in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura" since the summer of 2022 and defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. In the combat zone, the soldier almost said goodbye to his life. An air bomb fell 35 meters away from him and miraculously missed him.

Hryhoriy told this story during an interview with Yuriy Butusov. He noted that there were two bombs and both were guided. They arrived just as the soldier was sleeping.

"A GAB [guided aerial bomb – ed. 30 meters from where I was sleeping. Well, maybe 35. There were two of them, by the way, pits like that. One next to the other. One was a little further away, and the other was close," Hryhoriy said.

The soldier also told us how he felt that the bomb had fallen nearby or far away. The vibrations of the ground can very easily explain where it landed. In particular, Hryhoriy claims that he does not pay attention to missiles that fall a little further away from him.

"There were arrivals nearby. It always seemed to me that it was far away, and when you sit below the ground, it seems on the contrary that it is closer. But I realized that when it was already cracking and something was falling on you, it was close. And everything else can be ignored," he explained.

Since his teenage years, Hryhorii has been interested in extreme sports and risks. That's why he started doing roof climbing, which is climbing on roofs. In particular, the guy performs all the tricks without protective equipment or help. Serving in the Armed Forces has become a kind of continuation of his previous career because both involve great risk, but completely different feelings.

"Different feelings. In the moment, it's probably more dangerous when you're doing a stunt. It can be about three seconds, and then everything stabilizes. In the infantry, you can be in a more or less normal position, or in a difficult position, and there is a permanent [constant – ed.]

Ruffer also said that he chose the 47th Brigade because of a post about the expansion of its personnel by its former chief sergeant, a military poet, Valeriy Markus. Hryhoriy really liked the way the poet motivated him to join the regiment back then, and this became the final decision for Kyrylenko.
