Alina Yagupova

Alina Yagupova is a Ukrainian basketball player, captain of the Ukrainian national women's basketball team.

Short biography of Alina Yahupova

Alina Yahupova was born on February 9, 1992 in Dnipro.

She started playing basketball when she was 5 years old. As a result she finished basketball school №5 in Dnepr.

She played for Dnipro Basketball team but soon after passed to Kropivnitskiy basketball club Elisavet Basket.

Later became one of the most successful Ukrainian basketball legionnaires. She played for Turkish clubs, and also became the first Ukrainian to sign a contract with one of the teams playing in the American NBA - Los Angeles Sparks (this very club won the NBA championship in 2016).

In addition, Alina Yagupova is a member of the women's national basketball team of Ukraine - playing in the position of the forward, she is also the captain of the Ukrainian national team.

Now Alina Yahupova is one of the most productive players in the Euroleague. In addition, Yagupova is the undisputed leader in average efficiency in the Euroleague, on her account 20.2 points per game. And in 2019, Alina Yagupova was the highest-scoring player in the first round at the EuroBasket 2021 qualifying tournament.
