The Russian terrorist army continues an active offensive within the city limits of Vovchansk. At the same time, in other areas of the Kharkiv region, the enemy has slightly slowed down the pace of offensive actions.

In Vovchansk, Putin's troops are trying to penetrate deep into the defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Vitalii Sarantsev, a spokesman for the Kharkiv operational and tactical group of troops, said this during a telethon.

According to him, the Russians are attacking the city of Vovchansk, inflicting fire damage using various types of weapons. Street battles are also continuing in the town. The enemy is making efforts to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops and penetrate the rear positions.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces inflict losses on the Russian occupiers and force the enemy to abandon their missions. Thanks to the successful actions of Ukrainian soldiers, the Russians were forced to reduce their activity and abandon their assault operations in some parts of the frontline in Kharkiv region.

In addition, the Defense Forces are trying to move forward, improve their own tactical situation, and regularly inflict effective damage on enemy positions.

"If we take other areas, such as Starytsia, Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Lukianske, the enemy is not taking any active steps there yet. But this does not mean that he has withdrawn and abandoned the offensive. No, he is building up his forces, he is conducting an internal rotation of units. Wherever possible, he is trying to carry out logistical support measures, build up the communication system, and increase the command and control system," explained the Ukrainian military.

As a reminder, the Russian invaders in the Kharkiv sector are having big problems because of Ukrainian UAVs. The drone activity is particularly hampering the enemy in the Hlyboke-Lyptsi area.

Earlier it was reported that in the Kharkiv sector of the frontline, the occupiers' assault groups from the 79th motorized rifle regiment of the 18th motorized rifle division of the Russian army refused to perform their tasks. Their command planned to resume assault operations.
