North Korean soldiers who tried to escape from their positions in the Kursk region may be involved in assault operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Some North Koreans decided to leave their positions without permission in order to search for the command of the Russian Armed Forces.

Russian occupants detained 18 DPRK servicemen in Komarychi district of Bryansk region who tried to escape from the positions of the occupation forces in Kursk region. This was reported to OBOZ.UA by sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate.

According to the source, the North Koreans were training the Russian occupiers to use balloons for military purposes. In turn, Putin's troops taught North Korean representatives how to conduct modern infantry combat using the experience of the so-called "SVO".

After completing the training course, the North Korean military were left in a forest in the Kolyachok area of the Khomutov district for several days without food and without any indication of further plans and intentions. On October 14, some North Koreans decided to leave their positions without permission in order to search for the Russian command.

A few days later, the North Korean soldiers were found and detained by the Russian occupiers. The distance from the place of escape was about 60 km.

According to sources, all 40 DPRK servicemen who were at the positions in the Khomutiv district were moved to the Lgovsky district of the Kursk region for further involvement in assault operations against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As a reminder, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said he could not confirm information about the possible deployment of North Korean troops in Russia to go to war in Ukraine. At the same time, he added that such a move would be "worrisome" if it turns out to be true.

Earlier it became known that South Korean intelligence had found that 12,000 troops had arrived in Russia from the DPRK. Among them are units of special operations forces.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, has already stated that almost 11,000 North Korean infantrymen are currently training in eastern Russia to fight against Ukraine. In a few weeks, they will reinforce the units of the Russian occupation army.
