On the night of June 12, when the aggressor country celebrates Russia Day, Crimea was the first to 'rejoice'. Explosions were heard in a number of settlements, including Simferopol, Sevastopol, Saky, Yevpatoriia, Chornomorsk, Krasnoperekopsk (Yany Kapu) and Armyansk.

According to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, citing a source, the occupiers' S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system may have been destroyed near Sevastopol. The explosions were heard in the city around 02:47 a.m.

The video published by the channel shows air defense missiles and bright flashes, sounds of explosions, and shooting. It is reported that air defense in Sevastopol was operating in the areas of Fiolent, the village of Flotske, Bermana Balka, Kozacha and Streletska bays, Simferopol TPP and Belbek airfield.

Similar footage was filmed in Saky.

Warning: the video contains profanity!

The "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, confirmed at 2:52 a.m. that air defense was operating in the city and traditionally called for staying "calm." According to him, "all services" were put "on alert."

At 3:16 a.m., Razvozhayev reported on the "repulsion of a missile attack."

"All air targets were destroyed high in the sky, most of them over the water area... The type of missiles shot down is being established," he said.

The "governor" added that there were reports of debris falling in the area of Kombriga Potapova Street and Yukharyna Balka, but "there was no damage to the facilities" and no one was injured.

Regarding Sevastopol, at 02:50 am, explosions were heard in Yevpatoriia, Saky and Krasnoperekopsk (Yany Kapu). Two more explosions were heard in Armyansk at 4:00 am.

"The rest of the peninsula just heard it all. The attack throughout Crimea ended in 8-10 minutes," Crimean Wind reported.

Thus, according to residents of Simferopol, they heard explosions of such power that glass windows smashed in some houses.

A Crimean Wind source reported that a Russian S-400 Triumph air defense system was possibly hit/damaged near Sevastopol, but the information needs to be confirmed.

In addition, according to Sevastopol residents, the city's waters are completely clear after the nighttime missile attack: the occupiers do not conduct daily morning anti-submarine warfare (ASW) exercises.

There is also not a single Russian helicopter that patrols the city's coastline every day in the early morning. And there is not a single Russian military boat at sea, which guards the entrance to Sevastopol Bay daily.

"Where did everyone go? Perhaps they are already in line in front of the Kerch Bridge?" Crimean Wind asks ironically.
