"This is a normal tactic": Reznikov said that Ukraine will continue to strike the Crimean bridge

Ukraine to continue strikes on Crimean bridge

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has said that Ukraine will continue to launch strikes on the Crimean bridge. The head of the defence ministry stressed that the disabling of the illegal crossing would reduce the combat effectiveness of the Russian occupants and help save the lives of Ukrainians.

Reznikov explained that the destruction of the enemy's logistics lines is a normal tactic. He told about this in an interview with CNN.

According to the minister, Ukraine will continue to launch strikes against Russia-occupied Crimea and the Kerch Bridge, which connects the Ukrainian peninsula with the aggressor country. Reznikov added that the Crimean bridge is a legitimate target for attacks.

"All these facilities are official targets because it will reduce their combat capability against us and help save the lives of Ukrainians," the defense minister said.

In addition, Reznikov emphasized that Ukraine intends to permanently disable the Crimean bridge. Thus the Russian occupation army will be deprived of the possibility to receive reserves.

"This is a normal tactic - to destroy the logistic lines of your enemy to deprive the ability to get more ammunition, to get more fuel, to get more food and so on. That's why we will use this tactic against them," Reznikov said.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

On the night of July 17, several explosions were heard on the Crimean bridge, resulting in the collapse of part of the roadbed.

The illegal crossing was attacked by surface drones during a joint operation of the SSU and the Ukrainian Navy. The operation was complicated, but as a result Ukrainian forces managed to do what they had planned. The SSU promised to share details of the explosion on the Crimean bridge, but after the victory.

After the explosion has already blocked the Crimean bridge several times. In particular, only for July 24 it happened at least three times.
