The situation in Vuhledar

In Vuhledar, Donetsk region, Russian troops are destroying building after building. The city, which the invaders have not been able to take for 13 months, looks more like a post-apocalyptic film set.

A video of what the town looks like now has been posted online. The scale of the destruction was shown by an aerial drone (to watch the video, scroll to the bottom of the page).

What Ugledar looks like

Smoke was rising over the ruins. Every building that came into view was at least damaged. The facades of many apartment buildings are black above the windows because there were fires due to Russian shelling.

One of the high-rise buildings where people used to live was hit by an air strike. Several floors of the building simply collapsed, leaving a "hole" in the middle of the building.

To recap, the head of the joint press centre of the Tauride defence forces, Oleksiy Dmytrashkovskyi, recently suggested that Russian troops might attempt to assault Vuhledar again.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

- Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi showed the work of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi, which is destroying the occupiers on the outskirts of Vuhledar. As a result of one of the operations, the soldiers managed to defeat the elite of the Russian Armed Forces - the 155th Separate Marine Brigade.

- And the Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Grouping, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, showed how four Russian marine tanks were "resting" near Vuhledar, thanks to the defenders of Ukraine.
