"Preparing for different scenarios": DIU says it is monitoring enemy fortifications near Mariupol
Ukrainian intelligence officers are monitoring how the Russian occupation forces are preparing for any actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, the invaders are working on the construction of fortifications near the temporarily occupied Mariupol.
This was reported by Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, in a commentary to Ukrinform. He noted that this includes a scenario to repel the offensive of Ukrainian forces.
"They are systematically working on fortifications everywhere and preparing for various scenarios of the Security and Defense Forces, this is clear, and we are monitoring it," Yusov said.
Earlier, the DIU said that the key goal of the occupiers at the front in Ukraine was to capture the entire Luhansk and Donetsk regions. At the same time, the army of the aggressor country does not have the resources to attack in new directions.
The enemy's activity in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions is an attempt to draw the Defense Forces away from more important areas on the battlefield.
As reported by OBOZ.UA:
– A large-scale cyberattack by the DIU led to the "crash" of online services of the largest Russian banks, the social network VK, classifieds, and messengers. Kremlin propagandists complain about the "Internet apocalypse" and admit that they have never experienced such powerful cyberattacks before.
– The DIU identified 30 members of the command staff of the 112th Missile Brigade (military unit 03333) of the 1st Tank Army of the Moscow Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. These criminals are directly involved in missile attacks on civilian infrastructure in Sumy and Kharkiv regions using Iskander tactical systems.
