"Our response to shelling will be very powerful": Danilov warned Russian occupiers. Video
The terrorist state Russia will not go unpunished for its brutal attacks on Ukraine. Our country is already preparing a powerful response.
This was stated by Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, on the air of the national United News TV marathon. He emphasized that President Volodymyr Zelensky holds daily meetings with representatives of the security sector on this issue (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).
"There is a clear understanding that the enemy will not go unpunished if this continues. We have to respond to everything. Our response will be very powerful," the NSDC Secretary noted.
He did not specify its format but assured that everyone would understand when it happened.
Danilov also said that Ukraine is actively working to increase its own arms production. Partner countries and private companies have begun to build additional capacity. Although this is not an easy task that can be done in a month or two, some equipment is already being installed in closed areas of enterprises.
In addition, the NSDC Secretary announced the emergence of a new military formation in Ukraine, similar to the Siberia battalion, consisting exclusively of Russian citizens.
"There are many representatives of Russians and Russian minorities fighting on our side who are categorically against the Putin regime. These are not isolated cases, and this has been happening since the first days of the war," Danilov said.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a daily conference call with the military command the day before, following which he assured that Ukraine will not only defend itself against Russian energy terror but also respond.
"The enemy is well aware of this. First, they removed the fleet from Crimea, and now they are moving their aviation further away from our borders," the president said.
