"Moscow's attempts have failed yet again": Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reacts to the final declaration of the BRICS summit in Kazan

The text of the declaration testifies to Russia's failure

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has responded to the final declaration of the BRICS summit held in Kazan. The Ministry paid particular attention to paragraph 36 of the document, in which the participants emphasized their national positions on the situation in Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to the principles of the UN Charter and the diplomatic settlement of conflicts.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They noted that the text of the declaration testifies to the failure of Russia in its attempts to impose its neo-imperialist views on changing the world order through aggression against Ukraine.

Moscow's attempts to create an image of an allegedly alternative position of the countries of the "Global South" on the war in Ukraine have failed once again.

"The Declaration demonstrated that the BRICS as an association does not have a single position on Russian aggression against Ukraine. We are convinced that this is due to the support of the vast majority of these countries for the goals and principles of the UN Charter, as also stated in the statement. Such support is incompatible with supporting aggression or changing borders by force, and therefore incompatible with supporting Russia and its aggressive war against Ukraine," the Foreign Ministry emphasized.

The summit, which Russia planned to use to split the international community, only confirmed that the majority of countries stand by Ukraine in its quest for a just and sustainable peace based on international law.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recalled that the only way to achieve peace is through the Peace Formula, calling on all countries that support international law to join its implementation.

Earlier, it was reported that the leaders of China, India, Turkey, and even the UN Secretary General will come to Russia for the BRICS summit. Therefore, this event in Kazan, which will take place from October 22 to 24, is seen by the Kremlin as a diplomatic "triumph," a demonstration of its resistance to sanctions and the absence of full international isolation.

The summit will be Russia's largest since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and Russian dictator Putin will make the most of it to show that Western attempts to isolate Moscow have failed.
