The Ukrainian National Futsal team lost to Poland in the second round of the 2024 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The match in the Hungarian city of Berettyóújfalu at the Palfi István Rendezvénycsarnok arena ended with a score of 2-3.

The Poles, after an unexpected defeat at the start of the qualifiers against Serbia, demonstrated maximum aggression and concentration on the field. Ukraine led 2-0 by the 13th minute thanks to the efforts of Korsun and Pediash but failed to hold on to the victory.

It took less than a minute for Krezel to reduce the deficit. A bad play by our goalkeeper, who hit the ball into his own net, allowed the Polish team to equalize the score in the 20th minute.

In the second half, Poland's goalkeeper Kaluzha played flawlessly, nullifying all the efforts of our attack. "Our team attacked with great force but conceded a fatal goal from Marek in the 34th minute.

In the standings, the Ukrainians dropped to third place, which they share with Poland. On October 6, Oleksandr Kosenko's team will play a decisive match against Serbia.

According to the regulations, the winner of the group advances to the final part. The 4 best second teams of the qualifying tournament will get to the World Cup.
