Former world rapid chess champion Sergey Karjakin has complained avout a "huge information attack and threats" after he supported Russia's criminal war against Ukraine. The Simferopol native, who took citizenship of the aggressor country in 2016, also said that his house was attempted to be robbed.

Karjakin said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The ardent fan of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin threatened that he could sue his offenders, whom he called dogs, and called the robbery attempt planned.

"Threats come in all the time. I act according to the plan seen in the phrase 'the dogs bark, the caravan goes on.' Although, of course, theoretically, I can file a complaint to the authorities for some things, as people sometimes cross all boundaries. I was under unprecedented pressure in the first days of the special operation (as the war in Ukraine is shamefully called in Russia - ed.). There was a huge information attack. Without exaggeration, thousands of threatening messages. Moreover, last year my house was tried to be robbed. The robbers failed to break in, the alarm system went off and they ran away. It would be very strange if it was a coincidence," Karjakin said.

Karjakin was previously disqualified for supporting the war in Ukraine for six months. The chess player admired how "nobly Russia fights without killing civilians". In addition, the traitor to Ukraine invented a new goal of the Russian Federation in the war.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Russian fans called Sergey Karjakin vile after he became the first deputy head of the Russian Public Chamber's commission on physical culture, sports and healthy lifestyle.
