The Russian tennis star says we need to "put the world in order"

Russia's second racket Andrei Rublev expressed his belief that humanity should give up fighting all over the planet and "bring order to the world." The 25-year-old Moscow native, who spoke out against his country's aggression after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, said he hoped the war would end soon.

Rublev said so in an interview with the Serbian publication SportKlub. The tennis player also added that he was lucky to be admitted to international competitions, which most Russian and Belarusian athletes are deprived of, especially in team disciplines.

"Personally, I'm very lucky to play and travel the world. It's much harder for other athletes, most of them can't compete, especially in team sports. As I said from the beginning of the war, I just hope that somehow and sometime the situation will change and all the bad things will end. Then we can finally focus on bringing order to the world," Rublev said.
