"Are you a moron?" Fedetsky came down hard on Lomachenko and told the truth about Vasyl's relationship with Usyk
Former Ukrainian national team defender Artem Fedetsky took a hearty swipe at boxing star Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) and criticised him for his pro-Russian stance. The footballer, who played for Shakhtar, Dnipro and Karpaty, also explained why the former three-weight champion's godfather Oleksandr Usyk cannot influence his close friend.
In an interview with Brutal Football, Fedetsky admitted that he did not understand how anyone could cheer for a wimp like Lomachenko. That's why the footballer doesn't care whether he was convicted or not in the fight with absolute lightweight world champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs), whom the native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi lost by unanimous decision.
"He's a f*cking idiot. It's just impossible to root for him. Can you see the cotton wool in his head? 'I'm going to go and help the Orthodox Church'. Or who? The Moscow Patriarchate, he goes to church and does some dances. Vasya, are you a moron?" - Fedetsky said when asked about Lomachenko.
"They say that Lomachenko was convicted. But I don't give a f*ck about him. It's just a shame how this person still has the conscience to tie the flag of Ukraine on his shoulders," the former defender said.
Fedetsky also spoke about Lomachenko's relationship with his godfather, world heavyweight champion Usyk, who helps the Ukrainian Armed Forces and donates millions to rebuild Ukraine and cities destroyed by the occupiers.
"Usyk does not communicate with Lomachenko. Vasya doesn't listen to anyone. I don't give a f**k about such a godfather. What good is a godfather if he's a waddle? I don't know the details. Your godfather is a wimp, like Lomachenko, but you love him. What's your reaction? What do you do? Either you support him or you tell him to f**k off. There is no third option," Fedetsky is sure.
Earlier, OBOZREVATEL reported that new details of Usyk's trip to the frontline had become known. The former footballer shared a story about the boxer.
And the former world champion pointed to an unclear situation in the Lomachenko-Haney fight. The famous Russian boxer is convinced that the Ukrainian won and that this victory was stolen from him.
