Day of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian

On September 26, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian, the youngest and one of the closest disciples of Jesus Christ. He is known as the author of one of the four Gospels and several epistles that are an integral part of the New Testament.

Before his death, the Lord entrusted John to take care of the Mother of God, whom the apostle served until the Assumption. After that, the saint went to preach.

John the Theologian died at the age of over 100. Thus, he became one of the few apostles who died of natural causes in old age, living to a ripe old age.

World Maritime Day

World Maritime Day is an international holiday celebrated under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization. This day is dedicated to drawing attention to the importance of protecting the world's oceans and their resources, as well as to maritime safety and environmental responsibility.

European Day of Languages
