Ukrainian pumpkin mango: how to make delicious preservation for the winter

Ukrainian mango costs a penny and is extremely easy to prepare. We are talking about our ordinary pumpkin, which in canned form closely resembles the taste of the popular exotic fruit. The preparation is very sweet and juicy, and most importantly, it can be stored for a long time.

The idea of making canned pumpkin for the winter, like mango, was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Nadia with the nickname ptashka nadia.77. You only need five simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • pumpkin - 3 kg.
  • orange - 3 pcs.
  • lemon - 1 pc.
  • sugar - 600 g
  • citric acid - 10 g

Method of preparation:

1. Peel and dice the pumpkin.

2. Chop the lemon and orange in the same way. Cut one orange with the peel and two without.

3. Put the pumpkin in a large bowl.

4. Add the lemon and orange.

5. Cover with sugar.

6. Add citric acid.

7. Mix everything well.

8. Leave to stand for 2 hours.

9. Then put the fruit in jars.

10. Pour the juice from the fruit on top.

11. Cover the jars with lids and sterilize for 5 minutes. This time is suitable for 0.5 liter jars. Larger jars will require more time.

12. After sterilization, roll up the jars, turn them over and cover them with a blanket.
