Ukrainian national basketball team visits Armed Forces soldiers in hospital

On February 24, the day of the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian invaders, the men's national team visited the hospital where our heroes, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are undergoing rehabilitation.

Ukrainian soldiers who defended Ukraine in the hottest spots of the military conflict are undergoing treatment at the National Rehabilitation Center of Varvara in Jurmala, Latvia.

The players and coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team started the day by meeting with our heroes. The guys thanked the soldiers for defending our homeland, brought gifts, talked and invited them to the EuroBasket 2025 qualifying match, which will take place on February 25 at 21:00 in the Riga Arena.

The soldiers signed the flag of Ukraine, which the team will take to the match against Portugal.

"We have come to support our soldiers on this significant date for all of us. It's a very important event for us to support our guys, the soldiers who have been defending Ukraine for two years, fighting the occupiers and doing everything to make our country free. This is a small event and emotions for our soldiers. I hope to see them at the game against Portugal," said Viacheslav Bobrov.
