As sales of hybrid and electric vehicles continue to grow, Howden Insurance has shared the most popular models with customers. Read on to find out which eco-friendly vehicles are proving popular.

Using data from January to September 2023, the company found that more than 8.9 million electric and hybrid cars were registered on UK roads. This represents 6.3 percent of the total new vehicle market.

The best-selling new car was the Toyota Yaris hybrid. In the first three quarters of 2023, 518,500 units were sold in the UK.

Toyota has become the most popular brand among fans of eco-friendly transportation. As many as 6 models were included in the Howden Insurance rating.

In turn, the best-selling all-electric car was the Tesla Model 3.
