Two decades ago, the cult sports drama Million Dollar Baby was released, capturing the hearts of not only audiences but also film critics. The movie still has good reviews and is ranked 180th in the list of the top 250 according to the IMDb platform.

Released in 2004, Million Dollar Baby became a real phenomenon, winning four Oscars - for Best Picture, Best Director (Clint Eastwood), Best Actress (Hilary Swank) and Best Supporting Actor (Morgan Freeman). In addition, the film was awarded two Golden Globes.

The story tells the story of the difficult fate of athlete Maggie Fitzgerald (Hilary Swank), who dreams of becoming a women's boxing star. Thanks to her ambition and hard work, she managed to achieve significant success. She also owes her achievements to her trainer, retired boxer Frankie Dunn (Clint Eastwood), who at first did not want to take responsibility for the girl. The teacher himself leads a lonely life, not communicating with his only daughter. After Maggie proves her professionalism in the ring, Dunne still goes against his principles.

Over time, the girl becomes not just an athlete in the eyes of an elderly man, but a close friend who fills a huge void caused by a hard life. Maggie's career takes off, but an accident in the ring forces her to ask Frankie for one last favor.
