"I will give it to Oleksandr the Great": Fury makes a bold move before Usyk rematch

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) said he would refuse the Undisputed cover if he loses to Usyk in the upcoming rematch. Undisputed is the first boxing video game in more than a decade, developed by Steel City Interactive and published by Deep Silver. The game is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

The face of the main version of the game is Mexican Saul Alvarez. Fury is featured on the cover of the deluxe version.

"It's fantastic, but I'll tell you what I'm going do. If I don't win this rematch, I'm gonna relinquish that front cover and give it to Oleksandr. That's what I'll do with a front cover. I'll relinquish my right to be on that front cover and I'll give it to Oleksandr the Great. If I don't beat him in the rematch then I don't deserve to be on that front. He does. I'll give him that front cover," Tyson said in an interview with the developers.

Undisputed is a boxing game. It includes more than 70 real fighters, more than 60 individual punches, and 50 different attributes and traits. The game also features a female team, as well as real coaches, cutmen, and managers. The game offers different mechanics, such as"loose" and "flat-footed" movements, which affect the speed at which a fighter can move around the ring.

The"flat-footed" style is more focused on stability and strength, while the "loose" style allows for easier movement and quicker reaction to the opponent's actions.

As reported, on May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision - 115:112, 113:114, 114:113. Tyson will try to take revenge on the Ukrainian in Saudi Arabia on December 21.
