2024 anti-trends: four hair color techniques that are already out of fashion

What types of coloring are out of fashion

Fashion trends in hair coloring are changing at a frantic pace. A few years ago, it was very popular to create a mixture of strands of different colors, but now it is not relevant. The same goes for coloring techniques: they are improving and changing.

However, it's important to remember that style is mostly a subjective concept, and what some people consider outdated will be the most favorite option for others. It all depends on individual preferences, taste, and current trends, which you should still pay attention to in order not to follow anti-trends, as hair care expert Maryna Vasylenko told OBOZ.UA.

1. Ombre and balayage with clear lines

According to Maryna, coloring techniques with clearly defined boundaries between colors look less natural. It is worth giving preference to a smoother transition.

2. Expressive contouring

You should forget about wide white strands near the face. It is because of its richness and expressiveness among other hair that it has lost its trendiness. The expert noted that the current trend is for soft and smooth transitions.

3. Multicolored stripes

It used to be popular to create bright strands of different colors, but now it is less stylish.

4. Too sharp a gradient

According to Maryna Vasylenko, a sharp transition between colors, especially if they contrast strongly, can be less fashionable. Therefore, you should be careful with the colors you choose.

However, the expert notes that fashion is cyclical, and many things come back into trend after a while. Therefore, the most important thing is an individual style and your own preferences.
