What holidays are celebrated on September 3

According to the New Julian calendar, September 3 is the day of remembrance of the holy martyr Antimas, Bishop of Nicodemus. Antimus lived in the third century in the city of Nicomedia (now Izmit, Turkey). He became a bishop in 293. Antimus lived during the reigns of the emperors Diocletian and Maximian, when there were massive persecutions of Christians and particularly cruel executions. Antimus did not renounce his faith and supported in every way those who remained faithful to Christ despite the persecution. The bishop was martyred by beheading in 302.

The European Motorcycle Week traditionally begins on the first Tuesday of September and lasts until the end of the week.
