In September 2024, the new car market collapsed in Ukraine. Sales of used cars also declined. And now there has been another drop – the demand for electric cars has dropped significantly, although such cars are still affordable thanks to Chinese imports.

Motorists use electric cars to save money on gasoline because they don't need to spend money at the gas station at all. Apparently, potential buyers have now entered austerity mode. Statistics from the Ukravtoprom organization recorded 4289 EVs sold in September.

This is 0.2% less than last year and about half as many as in August 2024. The list of top-selling cars has been released.

The most popular electric cars in Ukraine (September 2024):

  1. Zeekr 001 - 109 pcs;
  2. Volkswagen ID.4 - 103 pcs;
  3. Honda M-NV - 102 pcs;
  4. BYD Song Plus - 91 units;
  5. Nissan Ariya - 74 units.

The most popular used electric cars in Ukraine (September 2024):

  1. Nissan Leaf - 440 pcs;
  2. Tesla Model 3 - 325 units;
  3. Tesla Model Y - 310 units;
  4. Volkswagen e-Golf - 196 units;
  5. Hyundai Kona - 179 units.

Of the total number, only 870 cars were new electric cars. The rest were used cars. There were 132 commercial electric vehicles.
