Tesla has begun production of its cheapest crossover
Tesla's cheapest crossover has gone into production, although the model's official premiere has not yet taken place. New details about the Model Y Juniper for the 2025 model year have been reported online.
The electric crossover is still known as the Tesla Model Y Juniper. This is the name of the prototype, and there is more and more talk about the car. According to Motor1, production of the model started at a plant in Shanghai on October 22.
The Tesla Model Y is expected to premiere in early 2025. For now, trial batches of 12 cars per day will be produced. The compact crossover will have a variant with 7 seats in the cabin.
Most likely, it will receive the same changes that we saw in the new Tesla Model 3 of 2024. The design of the compact electric sedan has been updated with new horizontal headlights in the style of the older Model S and a different bumper with a neat air intake at the bottom.
The maximum range of the Tesla Model 3 Long Range is 629 km. With 18-inch wheels, the range increases to 678 km. The base Tesla Model 3 Standard Range RWD (rear-wheel drive) has a range of 513 km. Obviously, similar changes are expected for the crossover.
