Starring the teen sitcom star: Netflix will release the Christmas movie The Merry Gentlemen
The Christmas season is rapidly approaching, and you can feel it, among other things, in the list of premieres from Netflix. On November 20, the platform will release the romantic comedy The Merry Gentlemen.
The first footage from the movie was published on the streaming service's social media. They feature the main actors of the film - Chad Michael Murray, the star of the teen TV series of the noughties, and his partner Britt Robertson.
The comedy will tell the story of a male dance show for a small provincial club.

In the story, dancer Ashley (Robertson) returns from the big city to her parents' house for Christmas and finds out that their small club is on the verge of bankruptcy and closure. She decides to save the family business and sets out to put on a Christmas dance revue. All the characters in her show are men. During the production, feelings flare up between her and the main star of the revue, Luke (Murray).
The Merry Gentlemen will be released on Netflix on November 20.

The film was directed by Peter Sullivan, who already has experience in directing Christmas comedies for the small screen. He co-wrote the screenplay for The Merry Gentlemen with Marla Sokoloff and Jeffrey Shank.
The authors decided to experiment with the topic of men's dance shows, which has not been explored in cinema. They combined the vibe of Super Mike with the cozy atmosphere of Christmas rom-coms like Love at First Sight or A Princess's Christmas.
The movie will be one of the first premieres of the Christmas season.
