Russian Federation's Olympiic champion with "everything just the way we like it" says Russians will be begged to return to world sport
Two-time Olympic champion Svetlana Ishmuratova expressed confidence that Russian athletes will be asked to return to international competitions in a year's time. The former biathlete also dreamed of the victory of the Russian army in the criminal war against Ukraine.
Ishmuratova said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's regime, who holds the rank of lieutenant colonel in the army of the Russian occupiers, criticized the International Olympic Committee for allowing Russian representatives to participate.
"Now our guys just have to win the war in Ukraine (as Russia shamefully calls the war in Ukraine - Ed.), and then the situation will change dramatically. We will stay in this state for one more year, and then we will have to win our Olympic medals, which we are missing. The IOC and federations will invite and ask us to participate in many competitions. I think we need to wait for that moment and perform with the anthem, the flag, and everything as we like," Ishmuratova said.
Earlier, she made a nonsense claiming that the global sports community could not exist without Russia.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the head coach of the Russian synchronized swimming team Tatyana Pokrovskaya, who complained that Ukrainians spoil the lives of Russians, called the suspension from the Olympic Games revenge "for our many years of victories."
