Fighting in the Kursk region

The Russians continue to panic over the loss of control of at least four border settlements in the Kursk region. The shelling is already taking place near the town of Sudzha, the Russian military is trying to keep the AFU fighters away from the settlement, and the town's population has been almost completely evacuated.

This is stated in the military channels of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of August 7, the occupiers admitted that it was not possible to drive the 'unknown' rebels out of the Kursk region.

In connection with the situation on the border, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Russian Security Council at 13:00 Moscow time.

According to Z-bloggers, control over a number of settlements in the Russian Federation has been lost. As of the morning of August 7, administrative buildings, a hospital, power lines, and residential buildings were damaged in the town of Sudzha as a result of the fighting.

Several UAVs reportedly attacked Voronezh region, and many of them are constantly flying over the Kursk region. The Russian Federation stated that its air defense forces shot down 3 UAVs and 4 missiles during the night.

The Ukrainian military is currently present in 11 settlements in the Kursk region at a depth of up to 15 km.

As of 11 a.m., air raid alert has been declared in the Kursk region four times. The local population is asked to stay in shelters.

Russians express their frustration online

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova blamed the attack on the Kursk region on the Ukrainian Armed Forces and said it was a "terrorist attack against civilians."

Russian bloggers responded to Zakharova's words by saying that the offensive in the Kursk region was not a "terrorist attack" but an invasion of Russian territory.

"Dear Ms. Zakharova. Let me disagree with you - the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region cannot be another terrorist attack, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces are a regular military formation of a foreign state. This is an invasion of the territory of the Russian Federation," the message reads.

At the same time, former Ukrainian politician and traitor Oleg Tsarev wrote on his Telegram that after the events in the Kursk region, Russia should declare war on Ukraine.

"The invasion should be taken very seriously. I repeat. Invasion of the territory of the Russian Federation means an automatic declaration of war. Isn't it time to declare war?" the separatist writes.

At the same time, the social media pages of the acting governor of Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, and local channels were flooded with users complaining about the lack of shelters in the region. Comments from outraged Russians began to appear after yesterday's massive shelling of the town of Sudzha.

"When will you install shelters? How long will you mock people?", "Where are the shelters? All night long there were attacks and in the morning the air raid alert were constant!", "It's time to put concrete shelters in our city! People are standing at bus stops, whole crowds of them," Russians are indignant.

Ordinary Russians do not understand what is happening and complain about the lack of any explanations and support from the authorities.

"I wonder what laws and documents are in effect in the Sudzhansky district today? What is going on here in general? Is it a state of emergency? CTO (Counterterrorism Operation)? Or what? Why are those who are supposed to work with the population silent? Why are you still in your warm chairs?

The military will deal with the devils that are trying to destroy our home. And you, officials, when are you going to start working?" people express their indignation in local channels.

Russia is trying to predict further events in Kursk region

The Russian military commander said that the Russian troops are currently trying to predict the direction of the main attack of the Ukrainian army and calculate the enemy's actions. So far, such phrases as "uncertainty of the tactical situation" have been used.

"It is worth paying attention to the situation in the direction of Hlukhiv - Rylsk. If the enemy starts active operations in this direction, which cannot be ruled out, the ultimate goal of the entire operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will become obvious - the city of Kurchatov and the nuclear power plant. This is a kind of retaliation for the ZNPP and the Chernobyl NPP. The logic is to take Kurchatov and bargain with Russia over Enerhodar and anything else," he writes.

According to the Russian military commander, if Ukrainian troops start moving in this direction, it will become clear that the rebels are planning to move on Kurchatov with an attempt to capture Rylsk and Sudzha.

He also noted that border guards and terrorist defense are holding the border in the Kursk sector.

"During the entire day of the combat operations summary, I did not see any mention of the 'Tik Tok troops'. A week ago, Akhmat soldiers were dancing in Sudzha, shooting in the air. I do not know where these people are now," the military commander wrote.

He noted that Ukrainian troops are currently focused on trying to take control of the district center of Sudzha.

"There are few options to stop this breakthrough. I would like to emphasize the logistics of the enemy, which has the ability to quickly transfer forces and funds over long distances within a few days. This is a serious lever that should not be underestimated," the military commander noted.

Russian politician Sergey Markov also said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already occupied 5 settlements and are preparing to move on. The rebels have allegedly created a powerful group of 5 brigades to further develop the offensive. According to him, Ukrainian troops will try to attack the town of Sudzha. The Russian army is moving reinforcements to the Kursk region.

"So far, it is only clear that there are heavy battles and will be even heavier," the politician writes.
