Occupants attacked the police department in Kryvyi Rih: there are victims, people may be under the rubble
On the morning of September 27, an explosion occurred in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovs'k region. The city reported a missile attack on the district police department: there were victims, and there may be people under the rubble.
The head of Kryvyi Rih's Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported the Russian attack. He urged the citizens not to film or post anything online.
"Kryvyi Rih. A missile attack. Do not film or post anything online," Vilkul wrote at 09:19.
The head of the Kryvyi Rih District State Administration, Yevhen Sytnychenko, confirmed the arrival.
"A missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. There was a hit. All the details later," he said at 09:39.
At 09:27, the head of the Dnipropetrovs'k regional military administration, Serhii Lysak, also confirmed the attack. According to him, one explosion was heard in the city.
"The enemy hit the administrative building. There may be people under the rubble," Lysak said.
Local social media started reporting about the explosion in Kryvyi Rih at 09:16.
"Sirens are heard in the city, there is bad news. Rescue services have arrived at the scene and are already working, "First City. Kryvyi Rih."
A photo of cars damaged near the arrival site was also posted online.
The district police department came under attack of the occupants, the NPU reported.
"At about 9:15 the enemy launched a rocket attack on the district police department, it is known that there are victims. There may be people under the rubble. As a result of the hit, the administrative building was destroyed, and private houses located nearby were damaged. Police and rescuers are now working at the scene, law enforcement officers are documenting and collecting evidence of another war crime of the Russian Federation," the National Police said.
As of 10:28 a.m., the first information about the victims was available.
"There are victims of a rocket attack on the district police department in Kryvyi Rih. A 45-year-old man has already been hospitalized. His condition is moderate. The administrative building was destroyed, private houses were damaged. Emergency services are working at the scene. They are looking for people under the rubble," said Lysak.
According to Vilkul, the hit was direct. He did not provide data on the number of victims, but noted that "there are those who are already on the operating table."
"The headquarters for helping people is being deployed at: 2 Liberation Square. This is the building of the National Committee of Economy. There will be everything you need: a board, a first aid kit, and film. Utility crews are on the spot," he added.
The Dnipropetrovs'k regional prosecutor's office showed a photo from the place where an enemy missile hit the police department building.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovs'k Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," they said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stated that as of 10:20 a.m., three victims were reported. Emergency rescue operations are underway.
Around 11:00, four injured were reported.
"There are already four injured men in Kryvyi Rih. Two of them are hospitalized in moderate condition. The fate of four people is currently unknown. The search and rescue operation continues," noted Lysak.
At 09:15, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned of the threat of enemy ballistic missile attacks from the south. At the same time, the Air Force called on the residents of Kryvyi Rih to immediately go to the shelter.
According to monitorwar and monitor, the Russians launched a ballistic missile (most likely an Iskander-M) in the direction of Kryvyi Rih at about 09:13 from the temporarily occupied Crimea. At the same time, an enemy reconnaissance drone was spotted over the city, which was adjusting the strikes.
"There are risks of repeated ballistic missile strikes. Everyone is in shelters until the alarm is over," Vilkul added at 09:37.
As a reminder, on the morning of September 27, Russians attacked Izmail in Odesa region with Shaheds. Residential buildings were destroyed. There are three known casualties and wounded.
Since the morning, the occupants have been striking at Kherson and the region. There are also wounded there, including a 4-year-old boy who sustained concussion and injuries.
