Much healthier than store-bought: how to make delicious pumpkin-orange juice at home
Instead of store-bought juices with chemicals, it is much better to make a homemade drink. You can use seasonal juicy pumpkins, as well as oranges. This juice can even be converted or drunk immediately.
The idea of making homemade pumpkin-orange juice was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Daryna Dariko (recepti dariko). You only need five ingredients.
Ingredients:
- pumpkin – 2.5 kg.
- water – 2 liters
- oranges – 4 pieces (about 300 ml of juice)
- sugar – 400 g
- citric acid – 1.5 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the pumpkin, and cut it into cubes.
2. Cover with water.
3. Cook after boiling for 10-15 minutes.
4. Squeeze the juice from the oranges.
5. Add it to the pumpkin along with the sugar and citric acid.
6. Stir and beat with a blender.
7. Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes and pour into sterile jars or bottles, twist or roll up.
8. The juice is perfectly stored in a cool place.
