Mimosa Salad in a new way: a recipe for a budget salad for a festive table
Mimosa salad is one of the most delicious, satisfying and easy-to-prepare salads. For an original taste, you can add processed cheese to the salad, and baked mackerel instead of canned fish.
The chef shared a recipe for a delicious and tender Mimosa salad with sardine and melted cheese on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 2-3 potatoes
- 2 carrots
- 2 cans of canned sardines
- 120 g of processed cheese
- 4 eggs
- 200-250 g. mayonnaise
Method of preparation:
1. Cook the vegetables in your favorite way, you can boil or bake them in the oven. Then peel and grate them.
2. Finely chop the onion, add salt, sugar, vinegar, cover with hot water and marinate for 15 minutes. Then drain the water and add the onions to the sardines.
3. Assemble the salad in layers: lay out the potatoes and coat with mayonnaise, then the sardines and onions and top with melted cheese. Next is a layer of carrots with mayonnaise, then protein with mayonnaise and the last layer is a finely grated egg yolk.
Let the salad sit and serve!
