After extending his contract with Real Madrid until 2030, Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has received a significant salary increase, Defensa Central reports. According to media reports, the 25-year-old native of Krasnohrad will now earn €4.5 million a year in Spain, which is €2 million more than he had before.

Despite the increase in income, Lunin will still receive half as much as the main goalkeeper of the Madrid club, Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian's rate is 9 million euros per year.

As reported, on September 13, Lunin and Real Madrid signed a new contract for the next four seasons (until June 2028).

The negotiations ended after several weeks of doubts and uncertainty about the future of Andriy, whose previous contract expired on June 30, 2025.

Last season, Lunin played a total of 31 matches in all tournaments, in which he conceded 32 goals, and 12 games were nil. The Champions League matches against Leipzig and Manchester City were especially memorable when he won a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals.
