Premium electric cars Jaguar I-Pace for several years on the secondary market have fallen in price. Now they found a serious problem in the crossover. For this reason, again announced a recall campaign.
Everything turned out to be quite prosaic - the risk of ignition of the battery pack. A common phenomenon for any electric car, but the ailment is very serious. Details became known to InsideEVs.
Interestingly, this is the fifth time that the Jaguar I-Pace is being recalled due to the risk of battery pack fire. The campaign affects cars of 2019. The manufacturer is making attempts to solve the problem.
This time they have prepared a software update. The new software will limit the maximum battery charge to 80%. In some cases, the previous steps did not eliminate the ailment.
It is known that the final solution for this problem has not been found. The manufacturer recommends to charge Jaguar I-Pace and park the electric car on the street and away from buildings and structures.
