How to make your bathroom really clean: three essentials

Keeping your bathroom clean is important not only for aesthetic reasons. Dark and damp places are ideal conditions for the growth of harmful bacteria and the spread of mold.

Experts told us how to make a bathroom clean. It is important to pay attention to several aspects.

If you don't have enough time on the weekend to spend most of the day cleaning, you can stretch out the process and clean one target area each time you can.

The first step of a bathroom cleaning should be to sort things out. This includes not only care products (shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, soaps, etc.), but also shower curtains, rugs, shelves, and the trash can.

The next step is to clean the surfaces. Limescale appears under the influence of hard tap water. It is virtually impossible to prevent its appearance, because mineral salts of calcium and magnesium, settling on surfaces, form characteristic white deposits. The most effective solution is white vinegar. It is an environmentally friendly, effective, and safe ingredient that not only cleans surfaces but also disinfects and eliminates unpleasant odors.

Pay attention to the shower head. Dirt can cause uneven water flow from the holes. To quickly clean the watering can, you can simply wipe it with an all-purpose detergent. For deeper dirt, however, you'll need to soak the head in vinegar to remove the buildup.

Wipe down the shower niches. Wash the shower or bathtub. Don't forget to also clean the shower door and check for soap scum or mineral deposits.

Clean the tiles. Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda are a great combination for fighting mold.

And don't forget about the toilet. Citric acid will also be effective – you can rub the contaminated areas with half a lemon or prepare an acid-based solution. Or try the good old baking soda and vinegar solution. Then scrub the toilet all around, including the back and walls. If you can, remove the seat to clean the hinges.
