How to clean the trunk of a car: three effective ways
The trunk can sometimes be one of the dirtiest places in a car. In the absence of regular cleaning, it accumulates a lot of dirt and dust.
The problem is not only aesthetically unappealing, but fungus can appear on the surface, which can cause mold and unpleasant odors. The experts of Sante Plus magazine figured out how to clean the trunk of a car.
Method 1
First, vacuum the trunk. Then proceed to the disinfection stage. Spread baking soda generously over the entire surface and rub it in thoroughly with a brush. The baking soda needs time to work - leave it on for about twenty minutes.
Next, use vinegar. Pour 2 tablespoons of vinegar into a spray bottle with warm water, mix well, and spray on the most stubborn areas. After drying, remove the abrasive residue.
Method 2
You can take the easy way out and use regular shampoo. It will effectively remove the most stubborn stains, especially on carpets. You just need to pour a small amount on the stained areas and gently scrub. Then wipe with a damp cloth and the result will be flawless.
Method 3
You can also try cleaning surfaces and rugs with dishwashing detergent. First, wipe off the dust and then wipe the trunk with a damp cloth and a little dishwashing liquid. Let the trunk dry thoroughly to prevent moisture and mold from forming later.
How to remove unpleasant odors
If even after cleaning, the unpleasant odors have not disappeared, experts advise to sprinkle the carpet with borax. Borax, or sodium tetraborate, is a mineral compound of boron, that is, the sodium salt of boric acid. It is recommended to leave it on the carpet for at least an hour. You can also use baking soda as a substitute.
