Russians throw a tantrum over attack on military airfield in the Rostov region

On the evening of May 25, the Russian Federation announced the downing of an unknown object over a military airfield in Morozovsk, Rostov Region. The propagandists suggested that it could have been attacked allegedly from the Ukrainian missile and tactical system "Hrіm".

They tried to assure that the "cotton" in the dark sky was the result of air defence. The Russians panicked online and, as usual, called for the destruction of "Ukrainian weapons" and "strikes on Kyiv" (to see photos and videos, scroll to the end of the news story).

Reports of a "UFO" over the Rostov airfield appeared around 22:00 on Thursday. Eyewitnesses filmed it and said that it was a "falling plane".

Russian public media immediately claimed that the unknown object was "hit by air defence". Soon after, they quoted the governor of the region, Vasily Golubev, as saying that "an air defence system shot down a Ukrainian missile" near Morozovsk.

On the second day after the attack, the Russian media stated that the military airfield in the Rostov region could have been "attacked by a Ukrainian Hrim missile tactical system". According to the propagandists, this was indicated by the flight speed of the "downed missile" - about 5000 km/h.

"The missile was flying at an altitude of about 17 km and was shot down by Russian air defence. "Hrіm" is designed to hit targets located up to 280 km from the launch point. The distance from Morozovsk to the border with Ukraine is about 230 km. It is used against air defence batteries, aircraft and helicopters parked at airfields, as well as air and missile defence facilities. "Our air defence system has repeatedly successfully intercepted and destroyed Ukrainian Hrіm missiles," the propagandists shared their "arguments".

At the same time, Russians on the network did not believe in the success of Russian air defence. They hysterically asked when "the Ukrainians will run out of weapons" and traditionally demanded that "strikes on Kyiv" be intensified.

Against the backdrop of statements by some that "Russia is not at war and is not to blame for anything", others justified themselves: if it had not been Russia that attacked first, then "the war would have been much worse" for them.

"One day it won't have time to intercept", "When will they run out of weapons there?", "Ukraine will not calm down. We need to help Russia abolish this state", "Long live our air defence, the coolest and most humane in the world! There are no analogues! We shoot down everything! There are no losses!", "There was no report of such missiles, they shot down the Storm and American missiles mistaken for Hrіm," "Where do they make this shit. We need to destroy the industry. We need steel. Machines. And so on. Production of ammunition. Explosives, etc. Energy", "Destroy the entire Ministry of Defence there already" - the citizens of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation were furious.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, Russians reacted with the same hysteria to the drone attack on Krasnodar on the morning of May 26. They demanded the execution of Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, strikes against Europe and the United States, and intensification of the war against Ukraine.
