During an interview, a candidate tries to make a good impression and demonstrate his or her best qualities. But you can ask one question at the end of the conversation, and you will surprise the employer.
TV presenter and businesswoman Barbara Corcoran posted a video on TikTok where she talked about interview tricks. At the end of the conversation, the manager always asks the candidate: "Do you have any questions for me?" and Barbara knows how to answer.
According to the TV presenter, after the employer's question, it is imperative to ask a follow-up question: "Is there anything that prevents you from hiring me?"
This way, you will gain respect and arouse interest in yourself. This will prompt the manager to talk about your strengths and weaknesses, and you will know what you need to work on to secure the position.
Asking such a question will undoubtedly make you stand out for a long time, and if you are not hired for this position, you may be offered another one in the future.
Corcoran's subscribers thanked her for the tip and shared their thoughts on it.
"I always ask at the interview: 'What other information do you need to determine if I'm the best fit for this position?' This allows me to have a more in-depth conversation with the manager and learn about my areas for improvement," wrote one of the subscribers.
Some had doubts that the question suggested by the TV presenter would be helpful during the interview.
"On the contrary, it will make the interviewer feel uncomfortable," they wrote in the comments.
