This was revealed by a former flight attendant at FLIGHT. The flight attendant became a blogger and now with the nickname Cici In the Sky tells in her Tik-Tok how to avoid theft.

"Room break-in theft happens more often than people realize. To protect your belongings, you need to know a few rules," says Cici.

In one of the videos, the blogger showed how to prop the door open with an ironing board. This will serve as an impromptu deterrent to burglars. When someone wants to enter the room, the board will fall and it will happen loudly.

In hotel rooms, it is a good idea to tape the peephole on the front door. This way, possible thieves will not be able to know beforehand if there is anything of value in the room.

Cece assures that you should always lock the door with a key or an extra deadbolt. "I've had tons of situations where staff have entered my room without permission when I was in the bathroom or changing clothes," says the blogger.

If the door is locked with a deadbolt and has an automatic handle - it can be additionally locked with a hanger. It should be put on the hook on the deadbolt and the base on the handle, so the criminal will not be able to open the door.

Blogger Cici recommends tourists who travel with valuable things - buy a lock with an alarm system. She puts one on the door and one on the suitcase. This device costs up to 10 dollars and can keep your possessions safe.
