How to quickly remove marks and than clean windows from tape. 6 effective ways
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many Ukrainian families have stuck adhesive tape on their windows to protect themselves from shards of glass that could fly from an explosion. This way, in case of damage, the glass does not shatter, but the sticky tape leaves traces on the windows that are difficult to remove.
OBOZREVATEL has prepared a number of practical tips to help you quickly and easily get rid of tape and marks on the glass.
First of all, the old tape can stick firmly to the window surface, making it difficult to remove. To avoid scratching the glass, you should stick a new sticky tape over the previous one, leaving a section that will be easy to pull. Press the tape down well, leave it for a few minutes, and then pull off the loose piece. This way, the sticky tape should easily come off the glass.
To get rid of sticky marks on the window, you can use several methods with things that are available in every home, such as vegetable oil, vinegar, nail polish remover, gasoline, a blade, or pencil eraser.

To remove the marks with oil, rub them in and leave them on for a few minutes. After that, wipe the window with a dry cloth.
If this option does not work, use vinegar. To do this, moisten a cloth with a small amount of white vinegar, and then gently wipe the marks on the glass. Leave the sticky tape residue on for a few minutes and then wipe it off with a dry cloth.
Another way to remove sticky marks is to use acetone or nail polish remover. The principle is similar to the previous liquids: apply it to the tape residue, leave it on for a few minutes, and wipe it off with a napkin. You can also use gasoline or alcohol for this purpose.

If you want to use the blade, you need to remember the safety rules to avoid getting hurt. Also, this method requires extra care, as a few wrong movements can lead to scratches on the glass.
